On Sat 7th March over fifty past pupils spanning six generations of Loreto On The Green girls gathered to celebrate IWD-weekend in the school's newly renovated canteen with an inspiring panel of alumnae speakers. View Event Photos

‘It was a wonderful morning of women sharing their experiences with other women - to encourage, to build confidence, to grow community’ (Éimear O’Flynn, Cdir, MBA – Group Corporate Affairs @CRH).

Our head girl, Holly, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech about how it feels to be part of this inspiring community of women willing to share their stories and learnings along the way. The panel of Lucy Nugent, Sally Anne Stone and Nicola Lindsay shared three very different stories and pathways, yet all anchored on similar values.

Fourteen attendees signed up to become mentors on the past pupils mentoring programme, a brand-new programme launched on the day with five signing up to become mentees. We are really looking forward to seeing this mentoring programme grow and develop with the help of Ciara Bolger, Hannah Fenlon, Sarah Kelly, Tara Fay and Michelle Allen who all volunteered their time and expertise on the day.

Everybody left feeling energised, braver and more open than ever to taking on every great opportunity that comes their way. Don’t miss our next event - Join The Online Network and share it with your LOTG Network.

All proceeds from the event will support the Teresa Ball Access Programme (TBAP). Loreto College established an access programme named after our founder Sr. Teresa Ball. The TBAP opens doors and outstanding educational opportunities to young girls who otherwise would not be able to avail of a Loreto College education. It eases financial hardship and promotes social inclusion by making a private education at Loreto College accessible and affordable to girls from less privileged backgrounds. Donate Today
